The family of Victoria (Vickie) Werth is deeply saddened to announce her passing on August 25, 2026. Born on June 28, 1952, in Baltimore, Maryland, Vickie lived her life for family and friends.

After attending Purdue University and spending a year studying at the Universidad de Complutense in Madrid, Spain, Vickie married the love of her life, Paul. Together they moved to the Pacific Northwest where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary education from Portland State University. Her career began as a teacher in southern Oregon, followed by sixteen years with the Boise Family YMCA, where she served in a variety of roles. Later, she worked in the development office at the College of Idaho, operated a home-based desktop publishing business, and served as the owner and business manager for Weather Research and Consulting Services, LLC along with her husband.

More than anything, Vickie’s greatest joy was her family and the many friendships formed throughout her life. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she treasured time with those who mattered most, whether gathered together for holidays and special occasions or simply talking on the phone. Staying connected was important to her, and she made sure people knew they were loved. She was there for the milestones, the celebrations, the difficult times, and all the ordinary moments in between. Among the pastimes she enjoyed most were reading, being part of the sewing group and singing in the choir at her church, and reminiscing about all of the people who were dear to her heart.

Vickie was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Betty Holloway, and her brother, Robert, Jr.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Paul; her sons, Eric (Lori) and Nicholas (Cammie); her sisters, Bonnie Ross and Gayle (Jay) Duncombe; her grandchildren, Erica, Emily, Jack, Ellie, and Logan; numerous nieces and nephews, some of whom may not have been related by blood but whom she loved just as much; and so many, many friends.

A memorial service will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Battle Ground, Washington, on October 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

There will also be a second memorial service at Bethlehem Community Church in Bethlehem, Indiana, on October 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with inurnment immediately following in Bethlehem Cemetery, alongside her parents and brother. For those who wish to join us, a catered lunch will be served in the church fellowship hall after inurnment.

The family thanks those at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Bethlehem Community Church, Layne's Funeral Home and Grayson Funeral Home for their support and care during this difficult time.
