Thomas J. Eldred
April 5, 1936 – October 29, 2025
Thomas “Tom” Eldred passed away October 29, 2025. Tom was born in Aberdeen, Washington and is one of seven children born to the Reverend Stephen and Marion Eldred. As a young man, Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army serving in Korea. He was honorably discharged and went to work for the International Paper Company in Amboy. He later worked for Alcoa until retirement. Tom served as Clark County Cemetery District #6 Commissioner for many years and later served as the Maintenance Manager.
Tom held a strong faith in God and instilled that foundation in his family. Together with his wife Joanne, they built a warm and welcoming home filled with love and the values they cherished most.
He enjoyed being around people and watching sporting events with his friends. He made a meaningful impact with the people who knew him and loved him and will always be remembered for his laugh and smile.
He is survived by his wife Joanne Eldred and five sons, Kenneth (Gina), David (Kelly), Robert, Stephen (Christine), and Ryan. He had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren that put a smile on his face when he was with them. He loved sports and played softball into his 80s. His favorite teams were the Portland Trailblazers, Seattle Seahawks, and the Washington Huskies.
There will be an open house for friends and family to celebrate Tom, Sunday, November 16, 2025, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Crossings Apartments, 901 SE 11th Place, Battle Ground, WA.
