Steven Shaun Johnson

May 16, 1972 – December 15, 2024

Steven was born in Anderson, SC to Lynda and Charles Johnson. He is survived by his mother, his sister, Cheryl Ecker, his niece, Ryan. and nephew, Callym, as his father passed away fifteen years ago.

Steven went to elementary and middle school in Gainesville, Florida and then Griffin High School in Griffin, Georgia. He spent some time working in Spokane, Washington and Fort Collins, Colorado before returning to Washington to help with his parents during his father’s long illness.

Steven enjoyed nature; especially photographing clouds and skyscapes. He and his mother spent many weekends exploring nearby trails and the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge. He, also, enjoyed helping his local church, Battle Ground Community United Methodist Church, as it hosted Family Promise four times each year. His compassion and kindness were valued. His love of puns was definitely shared widely.
