Ronald George Wells

Ron G. Wells passed into his heavenly home on July 29, 2026, at the age of 89.

Ron was born on February 13, 1937, in Vancouver, Washington, to George and Zenana Wells. He spent most of his life in Vancouver before making his home in Battle Ground for the past ten years. Ron was a United States Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, LaVerne Wells, and their children: Ron A. (Kathy) Wells, Brian (Cindy) Wells, Monica (Greg) Simonson, Roger (†Tina) Wells, Sheri (Victor) Wiley, Darci (Dan) Simonson, Galen Wells, and Melani (Sean) Hanna. He was also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom lovingly knew him as "Papa”. He is also survived by his sister, Lanell Wells.

Ron enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors, and being with his family and friends. A member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, he valued the time he spent with Christian companions. He had a great sense of humor and loved sharing his knowledge of history with others.
