Dr. Robert Ellison Bradley

Bob was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to Hurbert and Norma Bradley. However, he was raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He Graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce for Accounting. He was an accountant for several years before he decided to go back to McGill and get his MDCM in Family Medicine. During his younger years he enjoyed playing football, hockey, skiing and squash. He was on McGills hockey team at one time.

He did his Residency in Family Medicine in San Luis Obispo, CA where he met his future wife in a whirlwind courtship of three months since he was going off to India for two years, sponsored by the Anglian Church of Canada. Together, they spent those two years getting to know each other and “healing the world”, haha! What an exciting time!

They returned to Canada to raise a family! Three boys, Shayne , Craig, and Blayne. When he wasn’t working he was involved with his sons in scouting, hockey and soccer.

After living in Montreal for 11 years he and Janice decided to move out west to the State of Washington, settling in Battle Ground, WA where he worked for McLaughlin Family Practice until his retirement at the age of 72. While living here he again became involved with his family in scouting and coaching soccer, watching them in Track and Field or Cross Country. His passion was building and in his spare time built a three car garage and one barn and a squash court. He loved working his ten acres of land, either building or planting. He also took up photography and loved attending sons and grandchildren’s games taking as many pictures as possible!, both still and video. He has played squash most of his life and last played at Green Meadows until COVID hit, well into his 80s. He had many interests and not enough time in his life to pursue them all.

He was deeply involved with his church, being a founding member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Battle Ground, WA. He helped with the building of the church as well as the landscaping, maintaining the landscaping well into his 80s.

In retirement, he and Janice traveled many places in the world, probably his favorite was the Galapagos, but it was a tossup for other places, again with camera in hand! Both traveled to Belize for one week every year for about ten years as Medical Missionaries to help in a small hospital in southern Belize and found it a heart warming experience!

He loved his family deeply! Always being involved in their activities one way or another.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Janice, of 61 years, his sons Shayne and Daughter in law Jill, Craig, and Blayne and Daughter in law Miriam and his Grandchildren Andrew and his wife Tara, Nellie, Shaela, Callum and two Great Grandchildren Reynolds and Hudson.

A memorial service will be Saturday, September, 5th at 2pm at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Battle Ground, WA
