On Sept. 23, Ricky Wayne Young died unexpectedly of natural causes in his home in Battle Ground, WA. Born in Grand Rapids, MI, on July 24, 1957, he was 66 years old when he passed. Rick Is survived by his daughters, Stephanie (Allen) Hutchison and Melissa (Daniel) Reynolds, and his five grandkids. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; and his son, Nicholas. Retired from the Army Corps of Engineers, he volunteered at the Portland Rescue Mission since 2018. A celebration of life will take place Friday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Community Church. In lieu of flowers, consider donating to the Portland Rescue Mission.
