Norman, who went by Gene, was born to Earl and Mary Berrey on Aug. 29, 1945, in Mount Clemens, MI. He loved God, his family and his country. He had a great sense of humor and loved teasing family and friends. Gene was a Vietnam veteran and served his country from 1965-1968. He was a master mechanic and later became a pastor of the Wesleyan church.
Gene is survived by his wife, Terry; and three children, Tamara (Tammy), Gene, and Phil. He is also survived by his brother, Roger; sisters, Pat and Sally; brother, John; and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Earl; and sister, Mary.
Celebration of life service to be held at Hazen Chapel - Wesleyan Church, 38813 NE 119th Ave., Amboy, WA 98601. Military honors service to follow at 2:30 p.m.
