Mary Annette Dye, 66, of Woodland, WA passed into eternity peacefully at home on the evening of January 16, 2026. She was born on June 24, 1959, in Canyonville, Oregon to Eugene and Eileen Dye. Annette attended the Woodland School District. As a child, Annette was very social. She enjoyed adventurous activities such as making mud pies, roller skating, and horseback riding. She loved junk yard digging and even found a silver dollar, which sparked her lifelong quest of treasure hunting at garage sales. As an adult, she went on to Cosmetology School and received her license in 1988. She was a hairdresser for 37 years.
Annette was known for her vivacious and bold personality. She loved to laugh and was always the life of the party, often telling funny stories about her day-to-day happenings. She had a great love of music and dancing. During family gatherings she could always be found close to her brothers, the guitarists, singing the harmony. She sang in a gospel trio and later in life taught herself to play the mandolin.
Annette loved to cook. Cooking for her family and friends was her love language. Nothing gave her greater joy than watching others eat a homemade meal that she had prepared from scratch. She loved food, especially sweets, and she shared it with everyone imaginable. All her nieces and nephews knew the minute they walked through her door they would be presented with every sweet treat under the sun.
Annette had so many hobbies throughout the years, from crocheting, making jewelry, painting, crafting tallow bath and body products, and baking the perfect loaf of bread. There was no end to the projects she undertook and her determination to master new skills.
To her family and friends, Annette will be remembered for her long and colorful nails, having a ring on every finger, her low voice that was often mistaken for a man, and her incorrect pronunciation of the funniest words. But most of all, she will be remembered for her extra tight hugs, and calling everyone, including strangers, “dear”.
Annette had one accomplishment that outshined everything else in her life. She wrote in her Bible that her greatest achievement was accepting Jesus as her Lord and Savior on February 17, 1982. She was baptized 5 days later and committed herself to the lifelong journey of forging a personal relationship with Jesus. It was her hope that all her family and friends would make the same decision to surrender and accept Jesus Christ into their hearts.
Annette is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Eileen Dye. She is survived by her daughter, Quincy Noble (Marcus), her 6 siblings: Eugene Chuck Dye (Susan), Clay Dye, Cindy Ripp (Steve), Shanna Pritchett (DeWayne), Kelly Dye, Sandra Adkison (Ryan), and multiple generations of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Lewis River Fellowship, 2000 Lewis River Rd, Woodland, WA 98674.
