Yacolt

Linda Lee Kysar, age 77, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2023 at her home near Yacolt
with her family at her side. Linda was born February 20, 1946 in Vancouver, Washington to
Chester and Lucy Abernathy and was raised in the Yacolt area. She was united in marriage to
David Kysar on June 12, 1964 shortly after she graduated Battle Ground High School. They
raised their family near Yacolt. Linda was a homemaker; she served and cared for many people
over the years. She was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church and, in weakness,
held steadfast to her faith. She enjoyed traveling, reading, fishing, and spending time with her
family and friends.
       Linda is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a granddaughter, Miranda Anderson;
grandsons, Louis Kysar and Caden Cahoon; and brothers, Stanly and Keith.                                                                                               Linda is survived by three sons: Daniel with Carolyn, Derek with Kristi, and Logan with Alissa, all
of Yacolt. Two daughters: Molly with Dallas Kangas, and Lucy with Darren Cahoon, both of
Yacolt. Thirty-nine grandchildren, and 76 great grandchildren. One sister: Fran with Sonny
Gillette of Yacolt. Three brothers: Mark with Becky Abernathy of Kalispell, MT, Jack Abernathy
of La Center, and Lyle with Corinne Abernathy of Yacolt. Two sisters-in-law: Ruth Ann
Abernathy of Kalispell, MT, and Helena Abernathy of Battle Ground. Special thanks to her
caregivers who took such great care of our mother over the past several years.
