Lauren Kay Danielson passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Born on August 18, 1951, in Salt Lake City, Lauren grew up with a nurturing spirit that would define her life. She graduated from Bingham High School and worked in a variety of retail roles before finding her true calling in semiconductor manufacturing, where she built a career marked by dedication and pride until her retirement.

Lauren will be remembered most for her tender heart and deep compassion for others. She had an intuitive sense for when someone was in need and never hesitated to step in with comfort, encouragement, or practical help. Her kindness was quiet but powerful, leaving a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Her love for animals was profound and unwavering. Lauren raised German Shepherds for the Air Force and Old English Bulldogs for the show ring, earning multiple champion titles through her care and commitment. Even more meaningful to her was her work rescuing dogs and cats—patiently nursing them back to health, restoring their trust, and helping them find loving forever homes. Many of those rescued animals became cherished members of her own family, spending their lives surrounded by the gentleness and devotion she so freely gave.

Lauren found peace and happiness at her beach home and treasured time spent outdoors. She enjoyed riding ATVs and snowmobiles, camping, and traveling near and far. A talented cook and baker, she was especially known for her beautifully crafted specialty cakes and her joy in holiday decorating. Halloween and Christmas were among her favorite seasons, times when her creativity, warmth, and love for celebration shone brightest.

Above all else, Lauren’s greatest joy was her family. She loved fiercely and faithfully, offering unwavering support through every chapter of life. Her strength, loyalty, and unconditional love were constants her family could always rely upon. Lauren’s legacy is one of compassion, generosity, and a love that will continue to surround those she leaves behind.

Lauren is survived by her spouse, Andy Ptacek; her sister, Paula Rutkovitz (Marty); son Phil Jones (Jennifer), daughter Paula Lugo Bernasek (Bart), son Shaun Lugo (Rikki Mathis); her grandchildren, Nichole Jones Job, Kasten Jones, Brandon Bernasek, Bryan Bernasek, Bradley Bernasek, Kodi Rodriguez, and Kylie Bauer; and her great-grandchildren, Addison Job and Weston Job.
