Helen Dorothea Uskoski was born to Axel and Alma Uskoski in Hockinson, Washington on August 7, 1924.
She passed away on November 22, 2023, in Woodland, Washington. She was a lifelong member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.
Helen grew up in Hockinson. As a teenager, her family moved to Hancock, Michigan, where she
graduated from high school. She moved to Detroit and worked there during WWII.
Helen spent her career as a stenographer. She traveled with a federal judge in western states and Alaska recording court hearings.
Helen made her home in Longview, Washington for over thirty years, where she was blessed with good friends, family, and neighbors.
Helen was the last of her generation. She is survived by her cousins and her 35 nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved and will miss her.
Helen’s quiet dignity, her care for others, and her inherent sisu will be missed.
