Gregory Scott Baer

Gregory Scott Baer was born in Portland, Oregon on August 16, 1961. He was given up at birth for adoption and lived the first couple years of his life in an orphanage. He was adopted by Norman and Evelyn Mae Baer and raised in or near St Helens, OR. Greg's parents also adopted a baby girl, his sister Myrna, and then had a boy of their own, his brother, Doug.

The Baer family moved a lot. Greg counted 17 different homes between 1st and 12th grade.

He joined the Army right out of high school. Much of his Army career was spent stationed in Germany.

Two marriages followed, his last to Lori Criswell. It was a perfect match and 18 years of wedded bliss was enjoyed. In August of 2022 Greg was diagnosed with ALS, a terminal disease without a cure. ALS shaped his life for almost three years until his body could take no more.

Greg was a great husband, brother, cousin and friend. He will be greatly missed.
