Dona grew up in Emmett, ID on a fruit ranch. After graduating from high school she married and moved to Los Angeles, CA where she became a hair dresser. Upon moving back to Emmett she opened her own shop, The Country Curl, where her clientele included many prominent citizens. Later in life she married David Wallis and moved to Vancouver, WA. Together they served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints in the employment office there.
Dona had a gentle nature and was kind to everyone. She was a beautiful seamstress, a master gardener, and enjoyed making vintage lamp shades with fabric and glass beads. She had a knack for making things look elegant, from the interior of her home to her many wide brimmed hats.
Nothing brought Dona more joy than spending time with her family, buying small gifts for all of her grandchildren, and sharing what she could with those in need.
A small family service will be held in Saint Maries, ID to honor her life.
