DerryLee Berg, a devoted mother, grandmother, and compassionate caregiver, passed away peacefully on **May 12, 2025**, in Vancouver, Washington. She was 94 years old.
Born on July 6, 1930, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, DerryLee dedicated her life to nurturing others, both in her family and through her impactful career. She worked tirelessly as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Vancouver, Washington, providing comfort and care to those in need. During the early 1990's, she served in San Francisco, supporting newborns affected by heroin addiction and HIV exposure, a testament to her unwavering kindness and strength.
DerryLee’s legacy lives on through her two daughters, Cathy Mallatt and Lana Beddoes; three grandchildren, Katarina Oliver, Peter Hill, and Rebekah (and spouse); seven great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Her love, wisdom, and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held at Gravel Point Cemetery on May 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to honor her remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to organizations supporting neonatal care or addiction recovery in her memory.
