Debby Lynn Groth

Debby Lynn Groth (née Barton), age 74, of Battle Ground, WA, passed peacefully into the presence of Jesus Christ her Savior on the morning of Monday, July 6th, surrounded by family, after a nine-month battle with cancer.

Born August 28, 1951 in Enterprise, OR, Debby was the eldest daughter in a family of eight children. She graduated from Battle Ground High School in 1969. Over the years, she worked as a meter reader, a cleaner, a bus driver, a personal accountant, and loved being able sell crafted items on eBay and Etsy from home. She met Bob Groth at Denny’s for their first date on April Fool's Day, 1994 and soon married Bob on July 17th, 1995. They shared nearly 31 blessed years together.

Debby is survived by her beloved husband Bob, brothers Al, Tim, Jim, sisters Janet, Terry, Louella, and Gayle, her children Shane, Kris, J.R., Tanya, and Joe, seventeen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18th at 3:00 PM, at God's Word Baptist Church at 210 S 8th Ave, Ridgefield, WA 98642.

Her family wishes to recognize the Kaiser Permanente, Kaiser’s Oncology, and Kaiser’s Hospice team that supported Debby and her family through the last months, and especially the last weeks at home.
