Dan was born May 7th, 1957 in Basin, Wyoming to parents Jack and Darline Meyers. He died peacefully at his home in Longview, Washington on December 27, 2025.
When Dan was almost a year old, his family moved to Woodland, Washington where he attended his schooling. While in high school Dan worked for his dad pumping gas at Jack’s Texico.
He was a member of the first Christian Church. He enjoyed going to the action group and the pack in where they hiked around Mt St. Helens and slept under the stars.
After graduating high school in 1975, he spent a couple of eventful months visiting his grandparents, Jeff and Mabel Mason in Greybull, Wyoming. The cousins still talk about that crazy summer Dan came to visit.
When summer was over, he joined the Airforce, graduating basic training at Lackland Airforce Base in San Antonio, Texas, where he trained as a mechanic maintenance specialist. He finished his tour abroad stationed in Germany, Turkey, Spain, and finally England, where he met and married Patricia Coe. In August 1978, they moved to Seattle, Washington. There Dan was employed at the Boeing company. After a short time, he got laid off from Boeing on Friday, by Monday he had moved was working along side his dad at Jack’s Texico and towing. He was an excellent mechanic and tow-truck driver.
In the years that followed, Dan moved around a bit but, stayed in the Woodland / Tacoma area.
Dan was admired by his five younger siblings. He was a cool big brother. He was also liked members of the community, young and old.
He was very proud of his three sons.
He was a great storyteller, which often times got him in trouble.
Dan liked to joke around and have fun. He lived life on the wild side!
He had a reputation as being a ladies' man.
Dan was a kind soul, always ready to lend a hand when needed. He had a soft spot for animals. He was known for feeding all the strays in the neighborhood.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Darline Meyers, and his sister Norma Henry. Along with longtime friend Crystal Pellegrini. All of Woodland, Washington.
He is survived by his brothers John Meyers of Longview, Washington, Tim (Christy) Meyers of Port Angeles, Washington, sisters Terri and Elaine Meyers of Longview, Washington.
His sons Michael Meyers of Bury St. Edmonds, England, Tyler (Jazzy) Meyers of Longview, Washington, and Brandon Meyers of Portland, Oregon. Brother-in-law David Henry of Woodland, Washington. Long time special friend Bonnie Bauman and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dan will be greatly missed. Our lives will never be the same. Rest in peace brother.
