Charzette Vanderpool (Kilgore), age 68, passed away unexpectedly in her home in Woodland, Washington, on Thursday, January 15th, 2026. Her sudden passing leaves a deep ache in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Charzette was a remarkable woman. Independent, strong-willed, and deeply devoted, she lived her life with quiet determination and fierce loyalty to those she loved most. Above all else, Charzette was profoundly proud of her family. She was a protector, a steady presence, and a woman whose love ran deep and unwavering.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Vanderpool; her children, Patrick Kilgore, Shannon Shaw, and Marissa Kirby; and her cherished grandchildren. Her grandchildren are from Patrick, Grace, and Emma Kilgore; from Shannon, Hunter, Cole, Tanner, and Shelby Williams; and from Marissa, Mary, Ella, and Alice. She also leaves behind her stepdaughter, Eileen Wakefield, and grandchildren Wesley and Hallie.

Charzette is also survived by her loving mother, Mary Kilgore; her sister, Cindy Quist; her brother, Joe Kilgore; her favorite uncle, Bill Miller; and many extended family members and friends who were touched by her strength, honesty, and enduring love.

She was welcomed into her heavenly home by her beloved father, Al Kilgore; her brother, Pat Kilgore; her sister, Michelle Kilgore, and her nephew, Ray Quist.

Those who knew Charzette will remember her as a woman of conviction, resilience, and deep compassion. She was fiercely protective of her children and grandchildren, proud of their lives and accomplishments, and always ready to stand by them without hesitation. Her presence was grounding, her love unmistakable, and her legacy lives on through the family she cherished so deeply.

Charzette’s life was one of devotion, courage, and authenticity. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
